These are hormones, released by glands, which affect the subtle body, our energetic body, and relate to the chakras. If this were a steam room, we would release endorphins to feel relaxed and safe (root), oxytocin to feel emotionally connected (heart), and testosterone to feel sexually connected (sacral). Testosterone release is faster, sexual attraction exists independently of emotional attraction. Oxytocin, however, involves a desire for connection or closeless or intimacy.
Bring your awareness to the base of your spine. Imagine a warm, red glow radiating stability and grounding energy. With each breath, visualize this glow expanding, releasing endorphins to feel strong and resilient. “I am grounded, safe, and alive.” Shift your focus to the area just below your navel. Picture an orange light, pulsating with creative, vibrant energy. As you breathe, feel a surge of confidence and vitality, releasing testosterone. “I embrace my strength and creative power.” Move your awareness to the center of your chest. Imagine a green light, soft and radiant, filling you with warmth and openness. With each breath, feel a sense of connection, trust, and nurturing energy expanding from within. “I trust in connection and I give with an open heart.” Try to feel these energies or imagine what these hormones feel like: the stability of the root chakra/endorphins, the vitality of the sacral chakra/testosterone, and the openness of the heart chakra/oxytocin.
