In tantra and many forms of sensual yoga, we talk about deep embodiment, deep engagement. We want to bring awareness to all of the senses, hearing, touch, smell, sight, taste. And then we have deep disengagement of the senses. Pratyahara. Yoga has eight limbs: yamas, niyamas, asana, pranayama, mindfulness, meditative passiveness, samadhi and this idea of pratyahara is one of them. With pratyahara, we withdraw from external distractions and turn inward to connect on a deeper level. If we practice disengagement of the senses, we can enrich the engagement of the senses. It helps us step back from sensory overload and focus inward. Part of cultivating sexual energy is being present.
So let’s try to find pleasure through sensory engagement.
Let’s try to find pleasure through sensory withdrawal.
Meditation:
Feel the ground beneath you, supporting your body. Allow any tension in your muscles to melt away, feel your body becoming heavy and relaxed. Bring your attention to your breath. Notice the rise and fall of your chest and belly all the way to the balls with each inhale and exhale. Begin to turn your senses inward. Imagine drawing your awareness away from the external world and into your inner landscape. Picture a light at the center of your being, growing with each breath. Visualize this light expanding, connecting with the lights of those around you in the circle. Feel a sense of unity and connection with the other guys in the circle. Everyone is sharing this moment of stillness and presence. As you breathe, imagine a gentle veil covering your senses, softening external sounds, smells, and sensations. Let your mind quiet, focusing on your body’s sensations and the shared energy of the circle. Embrace the stillness and peace, feeling the warmth and acceptance of this circle. Release any judgments or thoughts, simply being present. Take a few deep breaths, gradually bringing your awareness back to your body’s physical sensations.
Pratyahara – Closed Eye Meditation Around A Group Not Seeing You
Visualize someone from the group or the group of guys together. How you remember seeing them. Imagine their face, their eyes, their body hair, their legs and feet and them stroking their cock next to you. Now imagine being seen, your face, eyes, body hair, feet to legs and cock being watched, admired. Hear our sounds, our breaths resonating through the group. Feel a gentle touch, perhaps the shared sensation of the cool air conditioning hitting your skin and hitting everyone else equally. Imagine tasting something delicious together with the group, perhaps coconut water, drinking it together. Picture someone dropping their bottle of Tom Ford on the hard floor, glass breaking into pieces, sharing the smell of bergamot permeating the air, letting everyone enjoy it. Visualize all five senses being shared among the group. Now let’s come to the present moment.
